‘Kira Kozhambu’ is a storytelling-performance in Tamil based on folk tales by the eminent Tamil writer Ki Rajanarayanan. Very simple in form and light and humorous in content, this play can engage both children and adults alike. 3 performers take you on a wild journey through a kaleidoscope of stories featuring a self -important eagle, a confused chicken and a lucky snake amongst others. Kira Kozhambu has been one of Perch’s most popular plays and we are revived it after seven year in 2017 for the 95th Birthday of the ever-youthful and effervescent Ki. Ra.
Kira Kozhambu has so far been staged over 82 times in Chennai, Pondicherry, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Avinashi, Bangalore, Madurai, The Niligiris and Kerala and has had a wonderful reception in all these places.
